ITV's big Saturday night shows cancelled for FA Cup as In For A Penny and Romeo & Duet forced off air

ITV's early-evening schedule has been handed over to FA Cup footballtoday – meaning some big shows getting knocked off air.

Stephen Mulhern gameshow In For A Penny is usually on at 6pm but is having to take a break.

Likewise, Oti Mabuse's dating/singing show Romeo And Duet won't be on at 7pm this week.

Instead, ITV are showing the FA Cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool, which is also on BBC1.

The game, which is usually a massive ratings-winner for the channel, has knocked out the line-up until 7.30pm tonight.

In For A Penny and Romeo and Duet will both return to their normal slots on ITV's main channel next week.

One fan asked Stephen what was going on, writing: "Where Is in for a penny, it's the misses birthday she was looking forward to it."

Another wrote: "Hi Stephen what is going on I see that there is no in for a penny on tonight because of the football."

A third asked indignantly: "Excuse me where is In for a Penny tonight !!!!!"

However, not everyone was so unhappy to see the two shows off air with one fan posting: "There is a god."

Two other big ITV shows are staying put – with Britain's Got Talent and The 1% Club airing later today.

Simon Cowell's talent show will return at 8pm – barring the prospect of the game going into extra time.

The Lee Mack quiz, which tests the way people's brains actually work. will then air at 9.30pm.

The ITV News will then broadcast at 10.20pm with movie Pretty Woman seeing the channel through to the early hours of the morning.
