Lorraine Kelly has said she "doesn't understand" Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's decision to do the tell-all Oprah Winfrey interview.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex couple have spoken to Oprah about their move to the US and why they took a step back from their royal duties.
Harry and Meghan are also reportedly going to discuss the media and the Prince's late mother Princess Diana.
Prince Phillip is currently ill in hospital and many have questioned whether the programme should broadcast at the moment due to his current condition.
During ITV's Lorraine earlier today, the Scottish television host asked The Mirror's Royal Editor Russell Myers about whether Prince Phillip would have been told about the Oprah interview and if it could be postponed.
She said: "So do you think he'll know all about this furore with Harry and Meghan, do you think people will think maybe we better not tell him?"
Russell said: "All the focus has to be on him getting better".
Lorraine then questioned: "The whole Meghan and Harry thing we'll find out at the weekend, do you think that's it now?
"They would have done it, it's all off their chest, they've said what they needed to say and maybe can not do anymore?
"Because I don't understand why they're doing it anyway, it seems to me… I don't understand."

Later, Lorraine said: "I understand when Harry feels passionately against the press, I really get that but I just wonder sometimes is it social media they're worried about in the UK?"
Lorraine wasn't the only one to discuss Meghan and Harry this morning as Good Morning Britain's Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid clashed over the topic.
Piers was slamming Harry and Meghan on air once again and Susanna had seemingly had enough of her co-star as she jumped to their defence.
She argued that Harry and Meghan want to be talked about in terms that are more 'compassionate' as she added: "They don't want to be entirely private".
Piers shot back: "No Susanna, they just don't want any criticism!"
As Morgan continued his fiery rant, Reid remarked: "You've got such a negative filter about them.
"You're obsessed with them."
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
