On Friday night, Strictly Come Dancing viewers were delighted to see the return of the BBC series as they got a first glimpse of the 2022 pairings. The star-studded line-up took to the dancefloor for the very first time as the celebs prepare themselves for the first live show of the series.

However, ever since the line-up was revealed, the bookmakers have been coming up with their own predictions about who will be eliminated first.

However, the odds are not looking good for Loose Women panellist Kaye Adams, who is partnered up with Kai Widdrington.

Kaye is currently the bookies’ favourite to be the first celebrity eliminated, with odds of 66/1.

Tony Adams is close behind Kaye with odds of 40/1, while Hamza Yassin sits in third place with odds of 28/1.

The current frontrunner is Helen Skelton, who has odds of 7/2 of winning the competition.

X Factor star Fleur East comes in at a close second with odds of 4/1, with actor Will Mellor close behind.

Morning Live presenter Kym Marsh and Tyler West have also had their odds of winning slashed since Friday’s launch show.

After the couples were all announced on Friday night, the bookies responded by slashing Kym’s odds from 16/1 to just 15/2.

While Tyler is now just a 13/2 shot, having been as big as 10/1 prior to the premiere.

Speaking about the latest odds, Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Punters already believe they’ve seen enough from Kym Marsh to know she’ll be there or thereabout come the end of the series.

“While Tyler couldn’t have asked for a better partner than Dianne Buswell as far as his own Glitterball Trophy chances are concerned.”

Speaking to Tess Daly on the launch show, Kaye admitted: “This is so strange to me.

“I mean I’m used to being on the end of a panel, but unfortunately the house seat is taken tonight.”

She continued: “You get the phone call to do something like this, which I never ever dreamt I would get.

“And you can see yes, so you could say no, and I thought you know what, I am going to say yes.”

Later on in the programme, Kai and Kaye sat with Claudia Winkleman about their first performance.

“When was the last time you danced?” the host asked, to which Kaye explained at her niece’s wedding four months ago.

Paying a tribute to her dance partner, the Loose Women star added: “Can I just say to Mrs Widdrongton, you have done an amazing job.

“He is such a lovely man, he really is and I am so happy to be with Kai.”

Strictly Come Dancing airs at 6.45pm on BBC One.
